The Krewe of Kings (aka the Kings of Metry) is a Jefferson Parish Carnival Club, established in 2019. After a short hiatus due to Covid and the tragic passing of Co-Founder Mckinley “Mackie” J. Cantrell III, the krewe is returning to the Metairie parade route on Lundi Gras in 2025. This co- ed, family-friendly social club is known for its beautiful, well-lit, colorful floats from Cantrell Floats, a family that once created floats for many of the old-line Mardi Gras parades in Metairie and New Orleans. The club is “willing and determined to bring a sense of the true Mardi Gras feeling back to Jefferson Parish.”
- Year founded: 2019
- Membership: 200 male / female riders
- Number of floats: 17 floats
