Mardi Gras may be an ancient celebration but there's always something new to discover. As the krewes announce their 2025 themes, throws and celebrity monarchs and riders, we'll post that information here. For krewe history and more information about the individual parades, check our krewe pages.
Twelfth Night Parades
The Carnival season kicks off on January 6, King's Day (a.k.a. Twelfth Night). The Society of Champs Elysée rolls at 5 p.m. in the French Quarter followed by the beloved French Krewe of Joan of Arc at 8 p.m. Coincidentally enough, January 6 was Joan's birthday. Uptown there are two streetcar parades. The Phunny Phorty Fellows and the Funky Uptown Krewe. The fun starts at 7 p.m. In Mandeville, Mande Kings Day begins at 3 p.m.
Krewe of Majestic Carnival Club
On January 25, 2025, the Krewe of Majestic will roll for the first time in Covington. The theme of their first parade is “Majestic Gras.” Their signature throw will be sunglasses that look like the face of a lion, in keeping with the krewe’s logo. Their specialty throw will change each year to coincide with their theme.
Krewe of Chewbacchus
The Intergalactic Krewe of Chewbacchus will roll Saturday, February 1 at 7 p.m. in the Marigny with over 3,000 members and 100 subkrewes. This year's theme is "Rise of the Super Owl."
Titans
The Krewe of Titans will roll with the theme, "Be My Valentine" with 26 floats with themes such as Sweethearts at Sea, The Love Boat and Let’s Taco ‘bout Love. Viewers will catch Valentine stuffed bears, heart sunglasses, lighted fleur de lis wands and more. The parade rolls Friday, February 14 at 6:30 p.m. in Slidell.
Krewe du Vieux
The satirical Krewe du Vieux's 2025 theme has yet to be announced. Krewe du Vieux rolls Saturday, February 15 at 6:30 p.m. in the French Quarter. Note: this parade is not suitable for children.
krewedelusion
The mission of krewedelusion, another of the city’s most popular satirical parades, is “to save the Universe, beginning at its center - New Orleans.” Its slogan: "Organization is Delusion." This unique parade krewe keeps its annual theme a secret until the actual day of the parade. They follow Krewe du Vieux Saturday, February 15.
Krewe of Bilge
This annual Eden Isles boat parade will cast off with the theme “America the Beautiful.” There will be 20 decorated boat floats with themes such as Key West, Las Vegas, and Louisiana – Sportsman’s Paradise. The good times will roll beginning at 12 p.m. in Slidell.
Krewe of Poseidon
The Slidell krewe Poseidon is rolling with the theme "What a Wonderful World" with 750+ riders on 27 floats. The Southern University "Human Jukebox," the Mande Milkshakers, the Golden Sioux Mardi Gras Indians, the Honey Island Clydesdales, and many more groups will be entertaining the crowds. Look for numerous throws including LED items, t-shirts, disco ball beads, animated chunky chain necklaces and more. Poseidon rolls on Saturday, February 15 at 6 p.m. in Slidell.
'tit Rex
'Tit is a Cajun abbreviation for petite or small. This microkrewe, the city's first and only, parades with decorated miniature shoebox floats. They even toss mini throws. Watch for 'tit Rex Sunday, February 16 at 4:30 p.m. in the Marigny.
The Krewe of Little Rascals
Named after the famous group of kids from TV and film, the Little Rascals will return the parade route this year with more than 250 riders between the ages of 18 months and 19 years old and 80 units. This year, the krewe will honor its late founder and captain Jack Spittler, Sr. The kids will be throwing bracelets, Frisbees, cup, wooden nickels and a silver anodized doubloon. Little Rascals will roll Sunday, February 16 at Noon in Metairie.
Antheia
"Day Drinking and Sun Seeking" is the 2025 theme for the all-female Krewe of Antheia in St. Tammany. Throws will include coin purses, flip flops, sequined head bands and more. Floats will have names like Miami Beach, Costa Rica, and Cruising the Coast. Antheia will roll in Slidell on Sunday, February 16th at 1 p.m.
Krewe of Nefertiti
The Krewe of Nefertiti was named for the legendary Egyptian queen. The 14-float Family Day parade will roll along Lake Forest and Read boulevards with the theme, "Planet Nefertiti." Queen Nefertiti V will be Serena Williams-Nobles and Lashonda Tenner will be Godess of ERgupt. This year's Grand Marshal is recording artist Denisia. Since ancient Egyptians were famous for adorning themselves in jewelry, expect to catch some baubles. Don't miss it Sunday, February 16 at 1 p.m in New Orleans East.
Krewe of Oshun
"Children’s Literature” is the theme of the 2025 Krewe of Oshun parade. The 250-member krewe will be throwing their signature Oshun fans, footballs and more. The parade also features a band contest. Oshun rolls on Friday, February 21, at 5:30 p.m. Uptown.
Krewe of Cleopatra
The Krewe of Cleopatra’s 2025 parade theme will "Cleopatra's Taking Care of Business.'' Theme floats include Marine Biologist, CEO, Chef, and Pilot. The parade will feature the spectacular Cleopatra's Nile... the River of Life. Their signature Royal Barge was built 40 years ago in Spain. Throws will include decorated drinking glasses with cocktail recipes, lighted items, plush “Nile” animals and more. It will depart Friday, February 21 ay 6:30 p.m. on the Uptown parade route.
Eve
"Eve Makes the Splash" is the theme of this all-female Northshore parade featuring 34 floats with themes like Pontchartrain Beach, Waikiki Beach, and Pensacola Beach. We're hoping to catch a special glass bead with the krewe’s Crest medallion and a tie-dyed plush bead dog. Eve rolls in Mandeville on February 21 at 7 p.m.
Krewe of Excalibur
The 2025 theme for the Krewe of Excalibur parade is “A Knight on the Runway.” There will be 23 floats including the title float and the maids in the court. A new signature throw for Excalibur will be an 8-inch hand-decorated Dragon Egg. Excalibur rolls February 21 at 7 p.m. during Family Gras.
Krewe of Paws
Mardi Gras has gone to the dogs! The Krewe of Paws will parade Saturday, February 22 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Olde Town Slidell.
Knights of Nemesis
Around 300 riders will be hitting the parade route in St. Bernard Parish in this parade featuring 15 floats. Throws include Nemesis t-shirts, medallion beads, foam swords, and more. The Knights of Nemesis parade will roll on Saturday, February 22 at 11 a.m.
Magical Krewe of MadHatters
This amazing Metairie parade features "The Magic of Wonderland" theme with floats including Jabberwocky, MadHatter, and Smokin' Caterpillar. Jerry Christopher will be the MadHatter and Rachel Fleetwood is Alice. You’ll also get a chance to see many stars including Grand Marshal Al “Carnival Time” Johnson, Vince Vance and the Valiants, Carl Mack, Bobby Hebert, Amanda Shaw, Rockin’ Dopsie, Bag of Donuts, and Four Unplugged. The Magical Krewe of MadHatter's adventure begins Saturday, February 22 at 5 p.m.
Krewe of Pontchartrain
"Pontchartrain Celebrates 50 Years" is the theme of this popular parade from the Krewe of Pontchartrain parade. Float titles include Pontchartrain Dreams of the Old Wild West, Pontchartrain Circus, Super Friends and Super Foes. Come catch anniversary lighted beads, a super grouper plush, a plush grouper hat, crawfish trays and anniversary baseball hats. Pontchartrain rolls February 22 at 11:30 a.m. on the Uptown route.
Legion of Mars
"United in Service" is the theme of this parade from the Legion of Mars. Riders will include first responders and veterans, including Purple Heart recipients. The krewe will introduce a new Mars Healthcare Heroes float to honor local patriotic leaders in the medical community. Throws will include camouflage "Boonie" hats. The parade will roll Uptown on Saturday, February 22 at 12:30 p.m.
Krewe of Choctaw
The Krewe of Choctaw has announced that its theme for 2025 will be " Choctaw Celebrates its 90th Anniversary at the Sock Hop" with 18 floats including Juke Box, Rosie the Riveter, and Elvis. Keepable throws include signature hand-decorated wooden tomahawks, plush tomahawks, plush spears, fanny packs, tambourines, socks, fuzzy dice, and Chief’s head cutout and tomahawk cutout doubloons. Choctaw will hit the parade route on Saturday, February 22 at 2 p.m. in Uptown New Orleans.
Krewe of Freret
The theme of Freret in 2025 is "Time Is On Our Side" with 23 floats that honor local music makers. Floats include Irma Thomas, a two-story Trombone Shorty float with a moving trombone slide, and a new Son of a Saint float. Throws include Mardi Gras masks, hats, fanny packs, reusable totes, collapsible dog bowls, wooden medallion necklaces, earrings and packets of red beans and jambalaya, an eco-friendly bubble kit and more. Freret rolls Saturday, February 22 on the Uptown Route at 3:30 p.m.
Spartan Society
The 400-member, co-ed Sparta Society, composed of the Knights of Sparta and their sister organization the Mystical Order of the Phoenix, will roll in 2025 with 23 floats representing the theme, "Love Makes the World Go ‘Round." Come see mule-drawn chariots carrying goddesses Athena and Artemis who will join Ares and Apollo. Throws will include a special mystery throw which will be announced on the day of the parade, along with i decorated platters, helmets, capes, and beads. The Sparta/Phoenix parade begins Saturday, February 22 at 5:30 p.m. on the Uptown route.
Mystic Krewe of Olympia
The 450-member, 27-float Olympia parade will roll with the theme "Northshore’s Best." Come catch throws such as a custom Pearl necklace with the cruise pendant Olympia plush, LED lightning bolts, LED gloves, and an LED Olympia etched bracelet. The fun begins Saturday, February 22 at 6:00 p.m. in Covington.
Pygmalion
The 26-unit Pygmalion progression will roll for the 25th time with the theme "Joyeaux Anniversaire." Floats to watch for include Sugar, Jade and Gold. Come get your share of silver anniversary lighted medallions, Pig Head balls, “Pig Head on a Stick,” pig rings, and lighted sunglasses. The procession will roll Saturday, February 22 at 6:15 p.m. on the Uptown route.
The Mystic Krewe of Femme Fatale
This year's theme for the 1,500-member Mystic Krewe of Femme Fatale is "I’m Every Woman" There will be 38 floats with titles such as Teachers, Artists, and Lawyers. Come catch umbrellas, flasks, sun visors, playing cards, loot bags, acrylic LED cups, and their signature compacts. The krewe parades Sunday, February 23 at 11 a.m. along the Uptown route.
Krewe of Carrollton
The 2025 theme for the 24-float Krewe of Carrollton parade is "Carrollton Takes 101." The parade will feature floats subjects with academic titles such as Animal Studies 101, Music 101, and Culinary Arts 101. Special throws will include Carrollton's signature decorated shrimp boots. Carrollton rolls Sunday, February 23 at 12:30 p.m. following Femme Fatale on the New Orleans Uptown route.
Krewe of King Arthur
The theme for the Krewe of King Arthur’s parade is “Carnival Gods of the Past 50 Years." Throws will include their signature hand-made grails, Merlin and knight plushes and so much more. The parade features the diversity of the Camelot Nation with over 1,900 knights riding on 63 floats. The Krewe of King Arthur will roll Uptown on Sunday, February 23 at 1:30 p.m.
Krewe of Dionysus
The theme for the 40th Anniversary Krewe of Dionysus parade is "Back to the Beach." Float titles include Daytona Beach, Venice Beach, Cancun and Ocho Rios Jamaica. The king will throw a special Dionysus XL gold anodized doubloon. It will roll Sunday, February 23 at 1 p.m. in Slidell.
Mystic Krewe of Barkus
Barkus, the beloved Carnival canine krewe will again parade through the French Quarter. The best dog walk in the world begins at Louis Armstrong Park on Sunday, February 23 at 2 p.m.
Atlas
The 200-member Krewe of Atlas will roll this year with the theme "Games People Play." There will be 14 floats with titles like Monopoly, Checkers and Twister. Look for them Sunday, February 23 at 4 p.m. at Family Gras in Metairie.
Mystic Krewe of Music
The second annual Mystic Krewe of Music parade is entitled "Music Through the Years" and will feature 350 co-ed members on 18 floats with titles like Bringing the Beat and What a Wonderful World. Top catches will include signature beads, a musical signature pillow, a signature doubloon, and towels. The procession takes place Monday, February 24 at 6 p.m. in Marrero on the West Bank.
Mystic Krewe of Druids
While the theme for Druids is kept secret until p-day, they are divulging that there will be 275 riders on 19 floats for their parade in 2025. Throws include scarves, koozies, LED necklaces, insulated tumblers, cups and doubloons. Don't miss Druids, Wednesday, February 26 at 6:15 p.m.
Krewe of ALLA
Alla will roll this year in a new, coveted time slot. The theme for this organization's parade is "Only A Matter of Time.” Their 18 floats will have titles like Time Flies, It's Carnival Time, and The Time Machine. Two of the krewe’s signature floats have been reimagined for this year – the ALLAgator and the King's float. Throws will include a bar package with drink shakes, insulated wine bottle carriers, bar towels, and other items. Of course, you may still get your wish and catch a hand-decorated genie lamp. The magic starts Wednesday, February 26 on the Uptown route following Druids.
Nandi
Nandi will have its second annual procession this year with the theme "Welcome to the Motherland." There will be 21 floats carrying 300 "madams." Throws include a custom-decorated tea cup, crawfish trays and Nandi Baby Dolls. Nandi will roll Wednesday, February 26 at 6 p.m. on the West Bank.
Krewe of Symphony
"A Journey Through Louisiana" is the theme of Symphony's 2025 procession. Look for throws including Symphony chocolate bars, lighted beads and Symphony socks. The 250+, all-male Krewe of Symphony will roll February 27 at 6:30 p.m. in Metairie.
Knights of Babylon
Although the Knights of Babylon's theme is always kept a secret until parade day, it’s no mystery why this old-line krewe draws the crowds. The stunning procession includes King Sargon on a mule-drawn float surrounded by flambeaux. It will feature 27 floats with titles such as How the Rhino Got Its Skin and How the Alphabet Was Made. Throws will include a metal Babylon jester, LED swords, towels, socks, insulated mugs and more. The krewe parades Thursday, February 27 at 5:30 p.m. Uptown.
Knights of Chaos
Chaos will celebrate this year with a 16-float parade (theme to be revealed the night of the procession). This satirical night parade features flambeaux and 200+ members will be on horseback. Look for several old Momus floats. Throws include knight helmets, shields, swords, footballs and lighted beads. See you on the Uptown parade route at 6:15 p.m. Thursday, February 27 at 6:15 p.m. following Babylon.
Muses
Everybody who's anybody is looking forward to "Muses Hersday" – especially when they’re celebrating their 25th year in heels! While Muses' theme is not revealed until the parade, set your hopes on catching their famous hand-decorated Muses shoes as well as a “shoe of the year” necklace (a 2025 boot). A total of 1,130 riders on 26 floats (including The Shoe, The Bathtub, The Goddessy, Sirens and The Ducks) will roll Thursday, February 27 at 6:30 p.m.
Hermes
Hermes' 2025 theme is "Visions of Joan D’Arc.” Look for 35 floats including Joan Dreams of French Triumph, St. Michael the Archangel Appears, Joan Envisions Victory at Orleans, and Maid of Orleans. Highlights of the parade include the St. Augustine Marching 100 and the Great Tornado Band from Talladega College. The krewe will be tossing a sustainable package – “Hermes Makin’ Groceries” – with jambalaya, mixed purple grits, and popcorn. There will also be a variety of lighted throws such as foot wands, capes, wings, gloves, and head wings, as well as neon foam swords and Hermes plush bears. Hermes rolls Friday, February 28 at 5:30 p.m. Uptown.
Krewe d'Etat
Krewe d'Etat is led by the famous Budweiser Clydesdales and the Skeleton Walking Krewe and is followed by 24 satirical floats, the Dictator's Banana Wagon, and the High Priest's Candy Wagon, patterned after the famous New Orleans favorite Roman Candy Wagon. Come catch blinky beads, FRI-D’ETAT shirts, wooden nickels, krewe cocktail shakers, doubloons shaped like Mardi Gras ladders, as well as this year’s edition of the d'Etat Gazette. d'Etat rolls Friday, February 28 at 6:30 p.m. Uptown.
Krewe of Morpheus
This year, Morpheus' theme is "Morpheus Celebrates 25 Years." There will be 800 riders on 24 floats with titles that reflect themes from Morpheus’ rich history. There will also be a band contest with groups from six states. If you're there for the loot, ask 'em to throw you a signature plush sheep, teddy bear or moon or a hand-decorated sleep mask. The Morpheus procession takes place Friday, February 28 at 7:30 p.m. following d'Etat Uptown.
Krewe of Selene
This all-female, 535-member Slidell parade has chosen the theme, "Selene Salutes Royalty.” Their 23 floats include a new Purse Float and a new logo float. Karen Waldrup from Mandeville, a finalist on “The Voice” this year, will be grand marshal. Selene throws custom decorated purses. Snatch one if you can! They roll Friday, February 28 at 6:30 p.m. on the Northshore.
NOMTOC (New Orleans Most Talked of Club)
Head to Algiers on the West Bank for NOMTOC. This year's theme is “NOMTOC’s Greek Odyssey.” The krewe has 720 members and 27 floats, including Jupiter – King of the Gods, Two Loves of Adonis, and Chacta – God of Prophecy. Throws will include special king medallions – both lit and unlit. They will also throw the Jugman Piggy Bank NOMTOC rolls Saturday, March 1 at 10:45 a.m.
Iris
The Krewe of Iris is the oldest all-female krewe and, with 3,660 members, is the largest krewe in Mardi Gras history. Their zoo—influenced theme for 2025 is "Iris, They All Asked for You.” The parade will feature 38 floats – all tandem and some triple tandem – and there’s even a new 3-dimensional queen float. Signature throws are Iris hand-decorated sunglasses. (We're hoping to catch a LED iridescent crown headband.) The parade will start Saturday, March 1, at 11 a.m. on the Uptown route.
Krewe of Tucks
The theme of this comedic krewe's parade is "Tucks Loves a Pair." Come see 39 floats with titles like Coffee & Doughnuts, Barbie & Ken, and The Birds & The Bees. King Tucks LVII will ride on the krewe’s signature royal throne toilet float. Catch squirting toilet water guns, toilet sunglasses, and hand-decorated plungers and toilet brushes. Tucks rolls Saturday, March 1 at noon on the Uptown route.
Krewe of Endymion
The 3,250-member Endymion parade is always one of the biggest and most anticipated events of Carnival. The theme of their procession is "The Secret Teachings of All Ages" with floats including Consulting the Oracle of Delphi, The Philosopher's Stone, Parsifal and the Holy Grail, and The Hand of the Mysteries. The procession will end at the Endymion Extravaganza at the convention center. Entertainers for the event include Katy Perry and the band Train. Endymion rolls Saturday, March 1 at 4:00 p.m.
Isis
The oldest female Mardi Gras organization in Jefferson Parish will celebrate Carnival 2025 with a 200-member, 18-float parade. This year's theme is “Isis Goes on a Field Trip” Floats will include Rivertown Theater, Aquarium, and Circus. Isis will be throwing decorated bras (they're committed to breast cancer charities), along with multi-colored, limited-edition doubloons. They hit the parade route Saturday, March 1 at 6 p.m. in Kenner.
Krewe of Okeanos
The 350 riders of the 22-float Okeanos parade are celebrating this year with a new special double-decker float called the Hippocampus. Vince Vance will be serving as Grand Marshal. Save yourself a place on the Uptown parade route on Sunday, March 2 at 11 a.m.
Krewe of Mid-City
In 2025, 325 members of Krewe of Mid-City will roll with the theme "If Ever A Spring Day So Perfect" There will be 15 floats including Fluttering Butterflies, Swirling Winds, and Wild Confectionary. There will also be a new king's Bandwagon float and a second section of the City Park float featuring the beloved carousel. King cake-flavored cotton candy, Mid-City fedoras, silicone coasters, and socks will be among the throws. Come join the party Sunday, March 2 at noon following Okeanos on the Uptown route.
Krewe of Thoth
"Thoth’s Bucket List" is the theme of the Thoth parade, featuring 2,400 men on 43 floats with subjects such as Visit Key West, Flly in a Hot Air Balloon, and Watch the Changing of the Guard. Here the crew debuts a new float for Children's Hospital and Audubon Zoo. Grand marshals will be the National World War II Museum's Victory Belles. Throws will include ice buckets, coasters, koozies, purses, fanny packs, and more. There will also be doubloons shaped like pyramids, toilet paper, and dog tags. Catch ‘em Sunday, March 2 at noon on the Uptown route.
Krewe of Bacchus
The 1,700-member Krewe of Bacchus is one of the most anticipated processions of Carnival Season. The theme of their 2025 parade is "Louisiana Fairs and Festivals." Floats have titles like Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival, Madisonville Wooden Boat Festival, and Rayne Frog Festival. Throws to covet include 16 varieties of lighted hats and wigs, float-themed socks, a 3D Bacchasaurus puzzle, glass beads, neck pillows, and all kinds of unique doubloons. And if that isn't enough to get you to the parade route, Bacchus LVI will be basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal! The God of Wine rolls Sunday, March 2 at 5:15 p.m. on the Uptown route.
Krewe of Athena
The 700-member, all-female Krewe of Athena's theme for 2025 is "X Marks the Spot." Float titles include Taj Mahal in India, Florence in Italy, the Eiffel Tower in France, and the Pyramids of Egypt. Athena is known for tossing hand-decorated fedoras, but you can also catch lighted beads, themed beads, neck pillows, umbrellas, plush throws, and an Athena Doll. Athena will roll Sunday, March 2 at 5:30 p.m. after the Krewe of Centurions.
Proteus
The old-line, 20-float, flambeaux-lit Proteus parade is a must! The theme this year is "Seafaring Scoundrels." Float titles include Blackbeard’s Ghost, Barataria Pirates, Mermaids Grotto, and Davey Jones Locker. Look to catch LED flambeaux, seahorse beads, red socks, silver sovereigns, red doubloons, and more. Proteus will take to the Uptown Route on Monday, March 3 at 5:15 p.m.
Krewe of Orpheus
This year Orpheus, co-founded by Harry Connick, Jr., celebrates with the theme, "As Above So Below." Float titles include Riding the Winds, Down the Rabbit Hole, and Up Up and Away. The parade also features its iconic signature floats including the Smokey Mary, the Orpheus Leviathan, and the Captain's Galleon The Lundi Gras procession will roll Uptown with 43 floats and 1,560 members. New Orleans native Bianca Del Rio (Roy Hallock), winner of RuPaul's Drag Race, will be the monarch. Gramy-winning Brothers Osborne will headline the post parade gala, Orpheuscapade, which is open to the public. You can try and catch one of their signature hand-decorated tambourines on March 3 at 6 p.m. on the Uptown parade route.
Centurions
Get ready for "Centurions Celebrates 45 Years with Luxurious Gifts" from the Centurions. There will be 300 riders on 18 floats with titles such as Pearls, Pottery, and Champagne. Look to catch LED bracelets and necklaces. The Centurions roll Monday, March 3 at 6:30 p.m. in Metairie.
Krewe of Kings
The 200 riders of Kings will parade with the theme “Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler.” Float titles include Uncle Sam Jam, Sundays in the Dome, and What’s Your Flavor? Former Saints player Kyle Turley will be the celebrity guest. Prepare to catch lighted medallion beads and koozies. Kings rolls Monday, March 3 at 7 p.m. in Metairie.
Krewe of Zulu
Few throws are more prized than a coconut from the Krewe of Zulu. This year's parade, "Zulu from Africa to the Big Easy," will feature 44 floats and more than 125 units, along with legendary characters like Big Shot, Witch Doctor, and Mr. Big Stuff. Zulu rolls Fat Tuesday, March 4 at 8 a.m. on the Uptown Route, right before Rex. Learn more about Zulu's Lundi Gras Festival, the day before the parade.
Rex
Revelers at Rex parade will be treated to the theme, "La Belle Epoque." Signature floats including the animated Butterfly King Float, Jester, His Majesty's Bandwagon, and the Boeuf Gras will be joined by floats with titles such as Nouveau Cirque, Moulin Rouge, and Pelléas Mélisande. The 457 riders on 29 floats will be throwing float-specific beads and sports towels, stainless cups, wildflower kits, bubble kits, hand soap, fiber totes, and a variety of special doubloons. His Majesty will meet the Queen of Carnival at a new reviewing stand this year at Pascals Manale’s Restaurant on Napoleon Avenue. Rex rolls on Mardi Gras Day at 10:30 a.m. on the Uptown parade route. It is followed by two truck parades, the Elks Orleanians and the Crescent City Truck Parade.
Krewe of Argus
The 25-float Krewe of Argus parade will take the streets of Metairie on Fat Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the theme "Let the Games Begin!" Highlights of the parade include the 3--tandem Peacock float. Throws include Gus, a stuffed Peacock in a fedora. If you're lucky, you'll catch a special poker chip with a QR code. Argus is followed by the Elks Jeffersonians and the Krewe of Jefferson truck parades.
Krewe of Bogue Fayala
More than 600 riders will take to the streets in Covington on Mardi Gras Day with a 19-float parade with the theme, "Movies in Paradise." Float titles include Hawaii Five O, Marley, and Havana Nights. The St. Tammany Special, a new signature train float, will leave the station for the first time this year. Lucky parade goers will catch wooden coins that can be redeemed, as well as hand painted works of art. The fun begins March 4 at 10 a.m. on the Northshore.
Krewe of Mardi PAWS
The Krewe of Mardi Paws began in Olde Mandeville and paraded on the Lakefront for almost 25 years before moving to downtown Covington in 2020. This year's theme is "Mardi Paws Gets in the Game." The excitement will be unleashed Sunday, March 9 at 2 p.m.
Krewe du Pooch
This year the Krewe du Pooch will parade on Saturday, March 15 at noon on the Mandeville Lakefront with the theme “Woofs of Art.” There will be a parade, contest contest, on-site dog adoptions, local vendors, food, and fun activities for everyone – canines and humans alike.
