Hail the Krewe of Kings!

After a short hiatus due to Covid and the tragic passing of one of their co-founders, the 200+ member Krewe of Kings will be returning to the Metairie parade route on Lundi Gras 2025. They will follow the Krewe of Centurions on Monday, March 3.

According to Co-Captain Frey Thieler, “In the spirit of Mardi Gras and in memory of Mackie Cantrell, we welcome our members and spectators to the greatest free show in Jefferson Parish and in the entire New Orleans metro area! Let the good times roll with the Krewe of Kings!”

The “Kings of Metry,” a co-ed, family-friendly social club established in 2019, is known for their spectacular floats built by Cantrell Floats, a company with a proud history of creating floats for many of the old-line Mardi Gras parades. The Krewe of King’s 2025 procession will feature 17 floats.
