Be There with Jingle Bells On!
The 3rd Annual Children’s Hospital New Orleans Holiday Parade will take place Saturday, December 7 starting at 11 a.m. This year, the event, which has been nominated as a Top 10 holiday parade among USA Today readers, is back with a longer route and signature throws. It will also be broadcast live on WDSU starting at 10:30 a.m.
The festive procession will include 30 floats from Kern Studios, including holiday-themed floats with animatronic props, intelligent lighting systems, special effects and audio systems.
The parade will also feature high-flying helium balloons, and some of our city’s most beloved marching groups and bands. Santa and his krewe from the North Pole will be tossing beads as well. Off-street reindeer parking available.
The Children’s Hospital New Orleans Holiday Parade will begin at the corner of Esplanade Avenue and North Peters Street, traveling North Peters to Decatur Street through the French Market toward Jackson Square and Oscar Dunn Park. The parade will then make its way back to North Peters, turning right on Canal Street, with a U-turn on Barone Street, traveling back through downtown to Tchoupitoulas Street, ending at St. Joseph Street.
