PRESS RELEASE
New Orleans, Louisiana, [March 8, 2021]: As the Irish Channel Parade was canceled for the second year in a row for coronavirus safety, the Irish Channel St. Patrick's Day Club has partnered with Parasol's Bar & Restaurant in the Irish Channel, and The Holy Ground Irish Pub in Mid-City to continue our mission of raising funds for our beloved charities. For the whole month of March, anyone can visit those establishments and provide a donation to St. Michael Special School, and in exchange they will receive a FREE GREEN BEER!
Secondly, this St. Patrick's Day, March 17, 2021, the Irish Channel St. Patrick's Day Club is asking anyone who may have gone out to the parade this year, or anyone who can, to help us support our beloved St. Michael Special School. We are hosting a drive-through style event where guests are asked to provide a cash or credit card donation to St. Michael Special School, and receive a free gift from the children of the school. Unfortunately, kisses for flowers will not be exchanged this year.
When: St. Patrick's Day March 17, 2021 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
What: Drive-Through Donation & A Free Gift for Guests
Where: St. Michael Special School 1522 Chippewa St, New Orleans, LA 70130

Lastly, as the Irish Channel St. Patrick's Day Club has done since 1947, we will hold our annual Mass (which normally proceeds the parade):

We would like to thank all those who have contributed to this fundraising campaign especially Parasol's, The Holy Ground Irish Pub, Base Logistics, The New Orleans Ancient Order of Hibernians, The New Orleans Emerald Society, and the Irish Channel Corner Club. We hope to get much support for our charities, and we look forward to seeing everyone at the Irish Channel Parade in 2022.
