Mardi Gras 2014 photo contest winner announced!

That's a wrap! After going through tons of photos submitted by Mardi Gras goers, we have finally picked the winner of our Mardi Gras 2014 Photo Contest. 

Congratulations to Etio H, who submitted this photo of a girl and her beads.

As promised, Etio will receive a complimentary stay at the luxury hotel Maison Dupuy in the French Quarter, two tickets to a New Orleans Gray Line tour (winner's choice), and a distinctly New Orleans breakfast at Cafe Beignet.

The runner-up is John C. He submitted this photo of beads placed on the statue of Peter Fountain (one of the best jazz clarinetests around; a New Orleans music legand).  We felt this photo really captured the spirit of Mardi Gras 2014 - rainy, but still full of color and life.

John will receive tickets for the Jazz Lunch Cruise on the Steamboat Natchez, an authentic and well-loved steamboat on the Mississippi River. He'll also get a retro dining experience at Ted's Frostop, a restaurant that serves comfort food favorites paired with their original Frostop Rootbeer.
